Since 1989, Miguel Palma has been an active multi-media artist who lives and works in Lisbon, Portugal.His projects explore matters related with the world’s hurried technological development, proposing alternative (and ironic) paths to this hunger of new.
Palma will present an exhibition at the 2010 ZER01 art & technology festival in San Jose from August 31 - September 24.
Selected previous venues include the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Berardo Museum, Culturgest, and National Museum of Contemporary Art in Lisbon; Serralves Museum in Oporto; Bloomberg Space in London; Prospect.1; New Orleans Art Biennial; Location One and ISE Foundation in New York; Faulconer Gallery in Iowa; MUDAM in Luxemburg;Museu Pateo Herreriano, Laboral, and Centro 2 de Mayo in Spain;and Villa Arson in France.
Palma has been a resident artist at Location One and ISCP in New York and Headlands Center for the Arts in California.
