Talented women take Montalvo
by storm this April!

Kathy Mattea

Join us on consecutive Fridays in April as we present two concerts featuring three celebrated female performers in the intimate Carriage House Theatre!

On Friday, April 12, at 8pm, folk/bluegrass star Kathy Mattea will perform from her catalogue of favorites, plus new songs from her latest album, Calling Me Home.

Mattea's 17 records have garnered her a shelf full of CMA, ACM, and Grammy Awards as she has explored the human spirit through inspired melodies while weaving in a variety of musical styles.

On Friday, April 19, at 8pm, pianist Simone Dinnerstein and singer-songwriter Tift Merritt will perform from their new collaboration, Night, a unique melding of the folk, rock, and classical worlds, which uncovers new musical landscapes.

Though Dinnerstein (a Juilliard-trained classical pianist from Brooklyn) and Merritt (a singer-songwriter from North Carolina whose father taught her to play by ear) come from very different musical backgrounds, when the two met they immediately realized that their passion for music was kindred. Night features new songs by Brad Mehldau and Patty Griffin, Merritt's own songs, selections by Bach and Schubert, and The Cohen Variations by Daniel Felsenfeld, based on Leonard Cohen’s Suzanne.

Tickets still remain for both of these outstanding concerts! Buy online now, or call the Box Office at 408-961-5858 10am-4pm Monday-Friday.

Students will have a chance to try a variety of percussion instruments and will learn improvisation as well as some familiar tunes, some of which they will perform onstage at the end of the week! Instructor Carey Liston, a music teacher in public schools for over 12 years, keeps class fun while building a foundation for your child's future music career.
