OneBeat music festival
coming October 19

"World music in its truest sense"—The New York Times

Now in its third year, OneBeat is an international cultural exchange initiative that brings together young musicians from as far away as Turkey, Zimbabwe, and Russia, to collaboratively write, produce, and perform original music. This year, Montalvo is OneBeat’s first-ever West Coast host, and participants will be showcasing their music throughout our grounds on Sunday, October 19, from 11am-4pm!

This outdoor festival is the culmination of their residency with us, and will feature small group performances staged in different locations on the property. Guests are invited to mingle among the musicians as they play, and later gather in the Garden Theatre for an ensemble performance.

In addition, you'll be able to enjoy some music-making activities, have a glass of beer or wine, and have a food truck meal from CurryUpNow, Oaxacan Kitchen, Rocko's Ice Cream Tacos, Waffle Amore, and others.

Festival admission is FREE! Onsite parking: $10; free parking at West Valley College with free shuttle service to Montalvo throughout the day. Let us know you're coming: RSVP below and share with your Facebook friends!

Robin Hood gets a modern update
Bring the kids and see it
on stage November 1

Robin Hood

"Sly, silly, sophisticated, and altogether winning" —The New York Times

In a forest somewhere near you, there is a band of brothers seeking to rid the land of evil and return hope to those who are poorly treated. They are lean, mean, trained justice-fighting machines, armed with whatever comes their way! But nothing is quite as it seems in this Sherwood Forest.

On Saturday, November 1, at 11am and 1pm (two shows!), join internationally-acclaimed childrens theatre innovators Visible Fictions for this fresh and inventive modern take on Robin Hood—and be prepared to unleash your imagination!
