Great gift ideas:
an experience at Montalvo

Concert tickets make great gifts!

Looking to give your friends and family something other than the usual stuff this holiday season? A unique experience at Montalvo is the perfect way to change things up!

From concerts such as the soulful Oleta Adams (Friday, March 7) to a girls' night out with the hilarious comedy troupe Women Fully Clothed (Thursday, April 17)—with Martini Madness added to get you in the mood—we have a wonderful array of shows that you and your loved ones can enjoy together.

Do you have kids? Treat the family to one of our imaginative and educational Family Theatre shows, such as The Odyssey on Sunday, April 13! These delightful performances offer a great opportunity to visit Montalvo, see a show, and explore the grounds as a family.

Have a classical music lover in your life? The Saint Michael Trio offers up three chamber recitals in 2014. These shows are more than just music: in addition to being wonderful performers, the Trio is known for their entertaining and enlightening commentary on the composers and their works.

What about poetry fans? The Sufi poet Rumi is known as one of the world's greatest composers of verses about love. On Friday, May 16, Coleman Barks will present musical interpretations of Rumi's work for an inspiring and romantic evening in the intimate Carriage House Theatre. A pair of tickets for yourself and your partner makes a great stocking stuffer!

Want more ideas? Visit our calendar listings to see all of the great events we have coming up. So what are you waiting for? Make somebody's holiday special with the gift of Montalvo!

Join us on Saturday, January 18, from 11am-2pm, for Body as Ecosystem: a special workshop on food and diet designed to help achieve optimal health for both mom and baby during and after pregnancy!

Created for anyone interested in becoming a healthy parent and led by former LAP Culinary Fellow Jessica Theroux, this workshop will teach nutrition and cooking for fertility, the nourishment of babies in utero, and supporting moms postpartum.

Part lecture, part interactive workshop, and a little cooking, this is a great opportunity for women and men to learn more about their bodies and how they can best approach the challenge of making healthy babies!
