Are you seeking an exciting and unique concert experience? Look no further than the upcoming Carriage House Concert schedule at Montalvo. In particular, this March, we've got two incredible performances that are guaranteed to knock your socks off:

ALFREDO RODRIGUEZ: The Invasion Parade

Fri, March 13  8pm  Tickets from $35
Legendary producer Quincy Jones calls him "one of the most prolific and gifted jazz pianists of the 21st century." 29-year-old Alfredo Rodriguez is an explosively talented Cuban pianist whose latest release, The Invasion Parade, explores memories of his homeland—the people and culture he left behind when he emigrated to the U.S. in 2009. Sat, March 21 • 8pm  Tickets from $27
Wil B and Kev Marcus (pictured above) are classically-trained viola and violin players who fuse classical music with hip-hop in a groundbreaking musical collaboration. Click here to hear their recent performance on The Queen Latifah Show. They've played at the President's Inaugural Ball, toured with Alicia Keys, and even have their own TED talk. According to Time Out New York, it's a "raucous, rousing, genre-busting performance piece that dares the audience to get up and dance." Don't miss it!

Stories, songs, & smarts: family theatre

Banana Slug String Band

Designed for both children and their parents, our Family Theatre Series invites children and their parents to experience diverse and stimulating performances. Our lineup for the spring includes original music, two adapted stories, puppetry, and a whole lot of fun! And these shows are also smart: both you and your children are likely to take away some life lessons. Take a look:

The award-winning Banana Slug String Band (pictured above) brings their new show The Awesome Ocean on Sunday, March 22. This kid-friendly concert (with costumes!) focuses on the Pacific Coast and looks at marine habitats and the beauty of the ocean.

Based on a popular children's story, Gruffalo's Child (Sunday, April 12) is a musical tale of adventure! Expect laughs and fun for both kids and adults. Click here to get a taste of what you'll see.

On Saturday, May 9, the classic tale of Peter and the Wolf is brought to life with beautiful, handcrafted marionettes by the Bay Area's own Fratello Marionettes. This tale—accompanied by the majestic score by Sergei Prokofiev—is the perfect way to introduce children to music.

All performances have two shows: 11am & 1pm; tickets are $20 for adults and just $10 for kids. Click the button below to purchase, or call the Box Office at 408-961-5858 10am-4pm Monday-Friday.
