Keep Cool with Summer Nights
Plating & Pairing Summer Salads with Wine

Release your creative side this summer with our after-hours arts practice workshops for adults, Montalvo Summer Nights! In a relaxed setting where experimentation is encouraged, you'll enjoy guided instruction from professional arts educators along with light refreshments.

We've got two fun and unique classes coming up in the series: a culinary class focusing on wine pairing with summer salads; and a workshop that will give you surprising ideas for creative uses of succulents.

Plating & Pairing: Summer Salads with Wine on Tuesday, July 25 from 6-8pm focuses on preparing and artistically plating salads made from fresh, local ingredients and pairing them with freshly made vinaigrette and crisp, local white and rosé wines. Chef Christine Samuelson and Kyle T. Ritchie of Savannah-Chanelle Vineyards will be your guides. Finish off the instruction by enjoying your meal of a tri-tip kebob salad; grilled salmon on greens; and a beet salad with spring mix and edible flowers. Your $45 registration includes all of your food and drinks!

Succulents are one of the best plants to use for summer floral arrangements -- they weather the heat well, add sculptural dimension to bouquets, and come in a multitude of shapes and colors. In Get Creative with Succulents on Tuesday, August 1 from 6-8pm, you'll learn how to use them in living centerpieces and hand tied bouquets with mixed florals, and even how to embellish your jewelry into wearable botanical art. Your $65 fee includes all materials, and you'll bring home each of your unique creations!

These are just two of the offerings coming up this summer; if you've got a creative side, you're sure to find something to try -- and all experience levels are welcome. Click here for the full Summer Nights schedule.

It's Not Too Late For Summer Camps!
Summer Camps

Summer is in full swing, and kids have been having a blast this past month getting creative in our Summer Camps! The good news is that there are still a few weeks of camp left, and we've got openings in six of them!
