Very Important:
Get the VIP Experience
with Crystal Bowersox

Crystal Bowersox

Do you want to meet former American Idol star Crystal Bowersox? What if she were to perform some acoustic songs just for you and a few of her biggest fans, answer your most pressing questions, take a selfie with you to post on Instagram, and sign a CD?

Well, you have the opportunity to do all of those things, plus see Crystal's concert in our intimate Carriage House Theatre on Friday, February 20!

Crystal Bowersox is an emerging folk-rock superstar whose heartfelt performances on Idol in 2010 made her a fan favorite. Since then, she has released two albums and toured extensively. Her last sold-out show at Montalvo brought down the house!

There are a very limited number of tickets remaining to the show, but even if you have bought yours, you can upgrade to the fabulous VIP Experience. Just click the button below to get started, or call the Box Office at 408-961-5858 10am-4pm Monday-Friday.

Don't wait: tickets will be gone soon!

Last chance for Literary Lunch

A Small Indiscretion

Few tickets remain for our exciting Literary Lunch featuring Jan Ellison and her debut novel, A Small Indiscretion. Ellison will hold a reading and conversation with Katherine Maxfield next Wednesday, January 28, from 11:30-1:30pm. Lunch is included, and books will be available for purchase and signing at the event.

A Small Indiscretion was recently reviewed in the San Jose Mercury News as "both a psychological thriller and study of the divide between desire and duty." Want to read some of Ellison's work first? Check out this recent piece by her in The New York Times Magazine.

Calling all teachers:
Arts In Your Classroom
conference March 7

Arts In Your Classroom

We are pleased to announce our 13th annual Arts in Your Classroom Teacher’s Conference on Saturday, March 7, from 9am-4pm, in Montalvo's historic Villa.

Designed for K-8 educators, the free conference will include a series of hands-on arts integration workshops, inspirational presentations, and opportunities to network with educators, peers, and artists.

This year, the conference will focus on the concept of design thinking, which encourages and supports risk-taking, empathy, and creative problem-solving in the classroom. This methodology invites teachers and students to identify complex challenges and create solutions that can impact the world beyond the classroom walls. Educators will come away with ideas and concepts that they can take back to their classrooms.

If you're a  teacher and would like to participate, register through the link below. Registration is free, and you will be asked to choose from the following workshops: Quilt Square Challenge; Balance By Design; Recycled Toy Chest; Everyone's an Inventor; and Music Makers. Click here for more information on each workshop. Please sign up for one AM and one PM workshop.
