In this two-session workshop, visual artist and educator Forrest Wasko will demonstrate the concept and creation of a photo book and how photographs can provide a significant contribution to the overall content of any written work.

You will learn about photo books, exploring concepts and themes, image sequencing, page layout, binding techniques, and the book as an object. The first session of class will focus on the history of photo books, examining a variety of contemporary samples; in the second session, you will produce a photo book of your own, and we will conclude the class with a group discussion around our creative process and final works.

  • Session 1: Thursday, March 11, 6:30-8:30pm
  • Session 2: Thursday, March 18, 6:30-8:30pm
